NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP — Police arrested two towmship residents on numerous drug charges and seized 200 bags of heroin early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Marcus Anthony Williams, 54, formerly of Alabama, and Patricia Marcus, 55, were arrested at their Shorebrook Circle residence after the Neptune Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant Wednesday. In addition, police seized $1,226 in cash along with drug paraphernalia. Authorities say they also secured a 2005 Dodge Pickup from the home.

Williams and Marcus were both charged with possession of heroin and possession with intent to distribute; possession of heroin with intention to distribute in a school zone; possession of oxycodone, possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute and intent to distribute in a school zone; possession of methadone, possession of methadone with intent to distribute and intent to distribute methadone in a school zone and possession of drug packaging materials.

Following their arrests, Williams was taken to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $195,000 bail with a 10 percent option. Marcus was released on a summons but was sent to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on an unrelated contempt of court warrant from Neptune, police said.
