3 Shot, Wounded In Asbury Park

Authorities say three people have been shot in Asbury Park, the latest in a spate of violent incidents that have plagued the Jersey Shore community this year.
Police say the shootings occurred Sunday in the 900 block of Mattison Avenue, about a block away from police headquarters. All three victims were being treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries, but further details were not disclosed.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.

Asbury Park has seen more than two dozen shootings this year, including four murders. The city recorded three fatal shootings in 2012.
