Social Media has it's UPS and it's DOWNS ... this is Definitely an UP.Thursday I was scrolling as usual on Facebook and up popped a picture of who I thought was my Havanese Mya... it wasn't - it was a Dog looking for a forever home from Puppy Love Pet Rescue, but not ANY dog, he happened to be 14 years old WITH a brother also 14.

Their owner had passed away and that left them all alone until Puppy Love stepped in and posted the picture.  As a dog advocate I know there are thousand of cute little puppies and dogs out there looking for homes and how tough it is to place them all ESPECIALLY the senior ones, so I took my chances and posted them right to my friends wall in the matter of minutes she was emailing the group and made an appt. to meet them on Sunday.

Long story short Willie and Muffin are now with Beth and Sarah to live out their remaining years with love and in comfort.  What I'm asking is if you are looking for a special friend please consider a senior pet.  Yeah, I know people are saying "but I won't have them long I'm afraid to get attached"... well look at it this way: let's not be selfish and think of ourselves and how short of time we'll have with them, but think of it as how LONG of time they will have with us and how happy you made them.

Everyday I think of my Chopper and Charlee ( who are now around my neck ) with a tear in my eye and even though they took a piece of my heart with them I still have plenty of it left to go around.

If you're interested in pet adoption, please consider Puppy Love Pet Rescue.

Would you ever consider giving a senior pet a home?
