The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office has been working on a full slate of education and awareness programs to stop the spread.  Hoping to prevent more, a new detox and treatment facility is now open on Whitesville Road in Toms River.

Al Della Fave with the Prosecutor's Office tells us it's a welcomed site. "We are happy this center opened. It has been the hopes of the prosecutor to get the number down and not have any more. This could definitely help with several treatment options available.

Over 17,000 families in New Jersey and Florida have trusted Sunrise Detox for safe, comfortable, medically-supervised detox from alcohol and substance dependency. The state-of-the-art 38 bed detox center will have several professionals on hand to help addicts kick the habit.

But what if someone wants help but is afraid of apprehension? Della Fave said you need not worry "just as long as you aren't caught with the drugs either with possession, using and/or selling."

The privately owned Sunrise Detox Center will treat those with drug and alcohol addiction.
