Christopher D. Biello, 43, was arrested Thursday after a year-long investigation involving victims in Keansburg, Brick, and elsewhere, according to the office of acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.

He's charged with a second-degree and four third-degree counts of theft by deception, three third-degree counts of impersonaiton, three fourth-degree counts of forgery, two fourth-degree counts of falsifying records, and one count of fradulent use of a credit card.

Investigators contend that Biello offered to help a Keansburg man with a refinancing transaction, then obtained numerous credit cards using the victim's identity, and used the victim's identity and forged documents on loan applications.

Biello also allegedly gave a fraudulent document to a victim in Brick under the guise of helping the victim to short-sell a property, authorities said.

He is also accused of supplying a victim with a bogus document in an attempt to finance a property in Wyoming.

Investigators harbor concerns of victims not yet accounted. Detective Dan Wehrle can be reached at 732-431-7160, extension 7924.
