Being a news reporter, I rarely get a chance to voice my personal opinion. I often keep quiet about controversial topics which always leads to good arguments between me and my friends. However, once in a while a story comes out that I can’t ignore and I have to speak out about. I hit that point this morning. I can honestly say a news report out of New York made me sick to my stomach.
It’s hard to believe the summer season is just around the corner. The long holiday weekend kicks off the start of the tourism season at the Jersey Shore. The hotels and motels will be booked up, the beaches will be jam-packed and the pools will be filled with people enjoying a splash. But it’s also Memorial Day weekend and it’s more than just a day off from work, a barbecue and a ball game.
