With the recent passing of baseball legend Yogi Berra there has been a lot said and written about concerning his famous quotes or as they are often referred to, “Yogi-isms.” Seems about half of what he is credited with saying are true although even those might have been embellished over the years.
Administrators, teachers, secretaries, coaches, fellow athletic directors and others paid tribute to retiring Brick Memorial Athletic Director and Social Studies Supervisor Bill Bruno at Woodlake County Club Tuesday.
Clearly it’s been a tough week for not only the Rutgers football program but everyone associated with the school. Saturday night the Scarlet Knights take the field against another school that knows what it’s like to deal with off the field distractions which can at times get ugly and my guess is Penn State fans will not have a lot of sympathy for the 4,000 or so Rutgers fans who make the trip to Happy Valley.

The Shore Sports Network’s Thursday Night High School Football Show returns tonight for its 9th season with a 90-minute show broadcast live from Baker’s Water Street Bar & Grille in Toms River and airing on 1160/1310AM with a live video stream on www.shoresportsnetwork.com.
