If you have a void in your life without football then may I suggest you head to Seaside Heights tomorrow for Pros Vs. Heroes, a flag football game on the beach just north of Casino Pier matching members of the Toms River Police Department against a Pro Elite team made up of former NFL players, WWE wrestlers and MMA Fighters including team captain Frankie “The Answer” Edgar.
It was four months ago that I first mentioned Trevor Kwatkoski in advance of a high school basketball doubleheader that would serve as a fundraiser for the 5-year old Berkeley Township boy who was battling bone cancer...

I’ve always loved to play miniature golf and without question my favorite course was Smuggler’s Quay Adventure Golf which was located on Central Avenue between Grant & Sherman in Seaside Heights. The official grand opening of the new Smuggler’s Quay is this Saturday with a Mini Golf Tournament to benefit Ocean of Love.

With three of the team’s four leading scorers graduating it would appear that Oehme would have a great opportunity to contribute even more next year but there is something blocking his immediate basketball future: cancer.
Kudos to the Stephens Family who owns and operates Gerard’s Wines & Spirits on Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant. Joe Stephens Jr. and his dad Joe pulled the plug after 50 Cent (a/k/a Curtis Jackson) posted a video in which he was mocking a young airport worker and accusing him of being drunk or high.
