The suspect believed to be involved in a number of Toms River residential burglaries is taken into custody Sunday night after police followed a report about a suspicious vehicle parked on Silverton Road.

Police say a search of Beachwood resident Nicholas Tracy’s vehicle yielded proceeds from a Silverton Road burglary. A search of his home recovered items from earlier burglaries on North Bay Avenue and Dugan Lane.

Tracy was arrested in April, 2011 after burglarizing 4 homes on Navasink River Road in Middletown and found hiding in a closet inside the home of rocker Jon Bon Jovi.

Tracy is charged with receiving stolen property from the Dugan Lane burglary with bail set at $20,000. He’s also being held on $25,000 bail the Silverton Road home burglary. Police say Tracy also faces bail on similar charges out of Monmouth County.

Toms River Police Captain Bruce Burgess and Detective Loring Dunton are coordinating the continuing investigation with other agencies with similar burglaries in Lacey Township, Ocean Township, Berkeley Township, Beachwood, Brick Township, Middletown and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.
