Car Crashes Into Howell Bank

A car drove into a Sovereign Bank branch in Howell Thursday morning.

The Star Ledger reports 71-year-old Carol Walsh hit the gas instead of the brake and wound up driving into the branch on Newtons Corner Road.

The bank is open normal hours today after the township building inspector concluded there was no structural damage to the bank.

It's the second time in a week in New Jersey a car has driven into a building. A woman with two boys in the back of her Range Rover drove into the White Castle in New Brunswick on Monday.
