I would like to tell you I had little reaction to the news that Jason Collins is gay because we are at a point where someone’s sexual orientation does not and should not matter. That’s true but I would be a liar if I said that’s why Collins’ disclosure Monday was not all that stunning.
It is a six month anniversary that will likely not feature any champagne toasts and certainly no gifts.

I have read with the interest the results of a recent Monmouth University/Asbury Park Press Poll which clearly shows the Yankees are the favorite baseball team of New Jersey residents and also one of the most despised.
There are a host of charitable events and fundraisers coming up in the next few days and because people have reached out to me asking for support I am reaching out to you.
We have learned that despite all the sources of help there are so many individuals and families still with great needs as a result of Sandy.
Memorial Day is five weeks from today and if it’s sunny and warm many will head to the beach. That is if the beach they usually go to is open.
Dan O’Cone has certainly gone out on top. After 7 years as wrestling coach at Brick Memorial O’Cone made official Thursday what many had known for weeks: he is stepping down as coach of the perennial state power.

It is nearly six months since Superstorm Sandy landed a haymaker to much of the Jersey Shore and we are less than six weeks from Memorial Day weekend which is the unofficial start of the summer tourism season.
