Hillary Rodham Clinton says in an interview with New York Magazine that she is wrestling with running for president but is "pragmatic and realistic" as she considers a potential White House campaign in 2016.

The former secretary of state tells the magazine in an article posted online Sunday that she will do whatever she can "to advocate for the values and the policies I think are right for the country."

Clinton says she has a good idea of the challenges facing the nation's leaders and is weighing the factors that would influence her decision one way or another.

The former first lady is the leading contender for the Democratic nomination if she decides to run. Recent polls in New Hampshire and Iowa show her tied or leading New Jersey Governor Christie.
