Brian Murray, a spokesman for the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, tells The Record newspaper that the ongoing computer glitch occurred Sunday during an upgrade of the state’s data center in West Trenton.

So far, it has prevented as many as 115,000 people from submitting insurance claims and certifications. The glitch has also affected service to regional call centers, meaning people are unable to file claims by phone.

Also affected are people trying to file claims for temporary disability and family leave insurance claims.

Murray says officials hoped to have the glitch resolved by late Monday night.
