If an Asbury Park kiddie-porn suspect is found guilty as charged, it'll be an abject lesson that there's no hiding on the Internet.

Johan J. Murrieta, 20, was charged Tuesday with three second-degree counts, and one third-degree count, of child endangerment by Monmouth County investigators who say they acted on cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

According to information from the office of acting County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni, the Computer Crimes Unit's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force followed three leads from NCMEC before obtaining a search warrant for Murrieta's Eighth Avenue home.

The tips involved child pornography images emanating from three different e-mail accounts on three separate days, all accessed by someone using an IP address associated with Murietta's dwelling.

Murietta was held on the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold in lieu of $350,000 full bail, barred from using the Interned and ordered to avoid contact with anyone under age 18.

Each second-degree charge carries a possible prison term of up to 10 years in prison on conviction, and would require Murietta to submit to the provisions of Megan's Law. The third-degree count has a possible five-year sentence attached.
