Imagine going to the doctor with your child and finding out that he or she has cancer: what would you do, where would you go, what do you do first, how are you going to handle this?

That's where Ocean Of Love steps in, they are there for families of Ocean County who's child has cancer.  They have the answers to those questions and the support you and your WHOLE family are going to need - trust me from a voice of experience.

Yes, experience - I am a survivor of childhood cancer.  I've been there and can tell you first hand how easily a family can fall apart at this time.  Even though I was the one that they didn't know if I was going to live or die, everyone in my family suffered because as my mother and father were catering to my every need, my sisters went neglected, my father still had to work every day and my mother was either in the hospital with me or carting me around to different doctors.  We ended up moving in with my grandparents so my younger sisters weren't left alone all the time.  I saw the arguing, I felt the resentment from them and even though my parents were divorced this tore them farther apart and I haven't even touched on the financial strain.

So again THIS is where Ocean of Love steps in, but the only way they can help these families is by our donations and by our own Andy Chase who lives atop a billboard until he raises at least $105,700 every year no matter what the weather is or how he feels.

Please, please, please, if you can find it in your heart go over to the Target/Lowes parking lot on Hooper Avenue in Toms River and make a donation THEN go home and hug your healthy child, thank God and say a prayer for all those who are not as fortunate.

On a personal note, thank you Andy Chase for what you do year after year - I'm proud to say you are my co-worker and my friend.  I love you much!
