Winter will make a quick return to parts of New Jersey early on Friday morning.

Some light snow will begin to fall overnight and change to freezing rain as the morning commute gets under way leaving behind a light coating of ice.

The National Weather Service has issued a Freezing Rain Advisory starting at 3 a.m. Friday morning for Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, Cumberland, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon and Somerset counties as travel could become slick, especially on bridges and overpasses, before turning to rain.

The rain will be with us through Saturday as temperatures head for 60 degrees on Saturday before falling back into the 40s on Sunday. Temperatures will remain in the 30s and 40s through next week.
