Helpful Hints – Bath Towels

Charlie Drevstam/Getty Images

Do you have bath towels that no longer absorb water like they used to and you don’t know why?  The answer: You are probably using too much clothes detergent when washing them and the fibers keep absorbing the soap causing the towels not to absorb water.

So what do you do now? Marianne found this little tip on pinterest.com

Just get a cup of white vinegar and a half of a cup of baking soda and put it into your washing machine when washing towels. Do not use regular clothes detergent while doing this. They will start absorbing water like they did when you first bought them.
