Authorities today released surveillance images of the car in an effort to track down the driver who sped off in a two-door, late-model BMW from the Tinton Falls Plaza on February 24.

According to police, the victim was hit while crossing Green Grove Road toward the shopping center at about 8:15 AM.

Witnesses told police that the car had just left the Plaza and was driven by a white male, apparently in his 60s, with gray or white hair and sunglasses.

Police were also given a partial description of the New Jersey license plate, which included the letters "CCW" or "CWW."

The victim was treated at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

Ocean Township Traffic Safety Officer Alisa Martinez heads up the investigation and can be reached at 732-531-1800. The department also maintains confidential tip lines: crimetips@oceantwp.org, or 732-531-3323.
