Jon Bon Jovi paid tribute to Warren Hills quarterback Evan Murray during a concert in the United Arab Emirates Thursday.

The Sayreville native followed through on his promise made in an earlier video *seen below) to put a number 18 on his guitar in honor of Murray, who died a week ago from lacerated spleen after taking multiple hits during a game against Summit.

"As a father and a father of football players my heart, my prayers go out to the Murray family," said Bon Jovi, whose son Jesse plays for Notre Dame. "Go win one for Evan."

Helmet maker Ridell has donated 7,000 decals with the Warren Hills lightning bolt over Murray's number 18 that will be worn on the helmets of Mid State 38 and Greater Middlesex Conference players starting this weekend. Twenty other assorted schools and a few youth football teams have also requested the decals, according to an email from Erin Griffin, director of corporate communications for Riddell.

Countless people others have expressed their condolences on Twitter, including Gov. Chris Christie and the New York Jets.
