Joseph Coronato Takes Over As Prosecutor
Ocean County finally has a new prosecutor.
Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford and Joseph Coronato, (Tom Mongelli Townsquare Media NJ)
62-year-old Joseph Coronato was given the thumbs up by the state Senate yesterday by a 40-0 vote according to the Asbury Park Press.
The vote on Coronato to succeed Marlene Lynch Ford took nearly 9 months. He was first nominated in June, 2012 but his nomination was caught up in politics between Governor Christie and the Democrat leadership according to the Asbury Park Press.
The Republican attorney from Toms River replaces Ford, who returns to the bench as a Superior Court Judge.
