A 16-year-old's revelation of a two-year-old sexual attack proves credible enough to investigators to file charges against a suspect from Lanoka Harbor.

Michael A. Taynor, 27, is charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, according to information from the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

Taynor was placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $150,000 full bail. He was ordered to comply with Nicole's Law stipulations and to avoid contact with his accuser.

The probe began Monday, May 11, when the teen reported the incident that she alleged took place when she was 14 years of age, authorities said. She told investigators that it took place in Lacey Township. Taynor and the girl had previously been acquainted, authorities said.

A spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office added that "very specific investigative technqiues" were employed to determine the validity of her claims, but he would not elaborate on what they entailed.
