Manchester resident arrested for allegedly stealing from restaurant tip jar

Police in Manchester arrested a resident Saturday night for allegedly stealing between $20.00 and $30.00 from the tip jar on the counter at the Cafe Napoli Restaurant in the Manchester Plaza Shopping Center.

An employee told police an individual had taken cash from the jar by 85-year-old resident Nicholas R. Domenick, who was also seen on surveillance inside the restaurant stealing from the jar.

Police who received the call of the alleged incident just before 7pm, were able to identify Domenick because he paid with a credit card for his bill.

He was arrested, charged with theft, and later released pending a court date.
