It was a clear, beautiful, not a cloud in the sky Tuesday, but all that changed at 8:45AM September 11, 2001.

Bob and I were doing our morning show goofing around and being frivolous, just like we always do when our producer at the time said a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center.  Immediately we turned on the television to see what was going on and speculated, both agreeing that  "the pilot must have had a heart attack".  Unfortunately, we knew that was not the case when 18 minutes later a second Boeing 767 made a sharp turn and flew directly into the South Tower near the 60th floor.  We knew then that America was under attack.

As millions watched these events unfold at 9:45am, yet another plane slammed into the Pentagon and then at 10:10am another crashed in a rural field in Western Pennsylvania.

Our world would never be the same!

Just as another generation will never forget where they were on November 22, 1963, this day would be the same.  What I remember most was rushing home and holding my year and a half old granddaughter Giavanna in my arms and never wanting to let go, praying like I've never prayed before .
