A Somerdale man was treated for an injury after a Chevrolet Suburban struck his Harley Davidson and knocked him over near the intersection of Route 547 and Route 571 just after 3:30 pm Saturday afternoon in Manchester Township.

According to an initial report by Manchester Police, the 1999 Chevy driven by 38-year old John Williams of the township was in the center lane heading south on Route 547 heading towards Route 571, and when he attempted to veer into the right lane hit the motorcycle driven by 64-year old Stanislaw Malek of Somerdale.

Williams told police "he was unable to see the motorcycle because of the presence of other vehicles," according to the report in which he adds they were in the left lane and obstructed his view.

Malek reported some knee pain but refused further medical evaluation but was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Williams suffered no injuries and was wearing a seatbelt upon impact.

The accident remains under further investigation by police.
