The Mount Holly woman who clung to life since being brutally stabbed late Monday night dies, and the father of her child will face a murder charge when he is captured.

Rashon A. Causey, 38, of Burlington City, also faces assault, burglary and weapons counts connected to the death of Shanai Marshall, 37, according to the office of Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi. He is considered a fugitive.

Marshall was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, less than 24 hours aftet she was discovered in her house with multiple stab wounds.

Investigators determined that Causey forced his way into Marshall's Monroe Street house to commit the stabbings.
