Weapons Station Earle in Colts Neck says it’s all part of training being conducted with the Transportation Security Administration.

Base spokesman Michael Brady tells the Asbury Park Press the explosive ordnance disposal team on the base periodically conducts this and other types of explosive demolition training.

Detonations are planned for the afternoon. However, the weather could shift the exercise to the morning.
