Ever wish there was a place to honor the area's best cats, dogs and other four-legged friends?  The New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association has been inducting our deserving furry friends into their Animal Hall of Fame since 1996 and this year 5 new members will be inducted!

The awards will spotlight animals from Somerset, Atlantic, Monmouth and Union counties, as well as an organization in Hunterdon County.  Among the inductees are Sammy, an award-winning therapy dog and Rufus, a former Westminster Best in Show winner!  This hall does not discriminate against humans either - as anyone who performs honorable work for or pertaining to animals may also be nominated.

Since the hall has been growing for 17 years, you can imagine that they have quite long list of prestigious alumni.  One of my personal favorites is this adorable therapy English bulldog Tilly.  To view ALL of the past inductees click HERE.

If you think that some one you know (a person or an animal) deserves to be included in the Hall of Fame among these fine individuals, you may make a nomination HERE.

The 17th Annual NJVMA Animal Hall of Fame Luncheon will take place on Sunday, March 4th from 12PM-2PM.  For more information and to purchase tickets please click HERE.
