After cheering on our New Jersey Olympic athletes in Rio, two medalists have been greeted home with even more Garden State fanfare.

Gymnast Laurie Hernandez is on a hot streak, between landing a Beyonce hug at the MTV VMA's and a Broadway meet-and-greet with the cast of "Hamilton."

But the teen still found time to celebrate her gold and silver medals in Middlesex County, with a parade in Old Bridge.

Meanwhile, the city of Newark dedicated an entire day to its own silver medalist, boxer Shakur Stevenson.

The 19-year-old has thanked the city for all its support, as Stevenson seems destined to "go pro" under the watchful eye of retired champ Floyd Mayweather.

NBA star Kyrie Irving, a West Orange native, also won gold with Team USA. It's been the "Best. Year. Ever." for the alum of St. Patrick's High School, following his NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavs.

Jersey also has cheered our two Olympic fencers who secured bronze medals. Woodbridge native Dagmara Wozniak has no doubt inspired local youth as she returned to NJ. Ibtihaj Muhammad of Maplewood also is a veteran of the U.S. Women’s Saber Team.
