We have a winner. The New Jersey Lottery announced that the sole winning Powerball ticket totaling $429.6 million was sold in Mercer County.

New Jersey Lottery executive director Carole Hedinger said in a statement early Sunday morning that the seventh-largest Powerball jackpot in history - with an annuity value of $415 million - will go to a lucky customer who purchased a ticket in the Garden State. Hedinger said the exact retail location will not be disclosed until security procedures are completed, but officials expect to release the name of the store on Monday.

“Winning the Powerball jackpot is a life-changing event. Congratulations to the ticketholder(s) and to the retailer who sold it,” Hedinger said.

The winning numbers for the May 7 drawing were: 05, 25, 26, 44, 66. The Red Powerball number was 09.

There has not been a jackpot winner in the Powerball since March, when a Florida man claimed a $291 million prize. The largest was the $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot won by three ticket holders in January in California, Tennessee and Florida.

New Jersey hasn't had a jackpot winner since 2013, when winning tickets were sold in Monmouth Junction and Little Egg Harbor. The winners shared a $448 million jackpot with a third winner from Minnesota. The “Oceans 16″ group of  Ocean County employees divided up their share of the jackpot.

The Powerball jackpot resets to $40 million for the next drawing, which is scheduled for Wednesday at 11 p.m.
