Once inside the recently made registry that follows a township Council approval, you can say no to the solicitors and other such disturbances by getting a free self-adhering "No Knock" sticker to put on your window.

"This ordinance is designed to protect our residents' quality of life while they are enjoying the peace and quiet of their own home," said Mayor Kenneth Palmer in a press release.

Any vendor looking to knock on doors has to first look over the registry kept in the township's clerks office and will be fined up to $1,000, spend 90 days in jail, or be subject to community service totaling 90 hours if they don't adhere to the list.

"We want to improve the quality of life here in Manchester Township, and the 'No Knock' ordinance addresses an ongoing issue facing our residents," Council President James Vaccaro said in a press release.

The township added religious, political organizations, non-profit's or other groups are not bound by those same restrictions by other groups on the registry.

You can sign up starting Tuesday April 5th.
