Dr. James McGinty, OCC's Executive Vice President, says the state-of-the-art, 74-thousand-square-foot building is a symbol of the partnership established with Kean University in 2005 and sets the stage for further growth. He tells WOBM news the goal then was to give county residents an opportunity to get their Associate and Bachelor Degrees at a reasonable cost, close to home. McGinty says more students will be drawn to OCC and Kean's enrollment will increase.

The five-story Gateway Building boasts ocean views, a 210-seat lecture hall, classrooms, labs, conference rooms, seminar rooms, a student lounge, a coffee/snack kiosk, and office space for faculty and staff.
