An Ocean County Jail inmate is found dead inside his cell this morning. The inmate is identified as 38-year-old Philip Infantolino of Seaside Heights.  Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford and Warden Theodore Hutler says Infantolino's lifeless body was discovered by his cellmate who alerted guards.

Infantolino was incarcerated on Sunday March 18th on charges possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, obstruction, possession of a hypodermic needle, criminal mischief and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $50,000 and he had been housed in the general population.

An autopsy is being conducted.

His death is being investigated by Detective Lieutenant Joseph Valenti and Detective Glen Amirr of the Correction's Department's Investigation Bureau, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department Criminalistics Investigation Unit.
