The plant returned to full operations this morning shortly after 8 AM, rounding out a scheduled refueling and maintenance outage that began September 19.

Information from the power station indicates that 33 percent of the reactor's fuel was replaced, and the 600-person staff was augmented by 1,400 extra workers to complete some 4,000 tasks.

"This strong team of 2,000 men and women worked together to ensure yster Creek produces power safely and reliably for our region," said Site Vice President Garey Stathes in prepared comments.

"Our biennial refueling outages would not be possible without strong support from local craftsmen, businesses and stakeholders."

The final refueling outage is scheduled for 2018.
