Dorian Leigh Dammer, 56, with a most recently-known address in Easton, pleaded guilty to two third-degree counts of theft by deception, according to the office of acting New Jersey Attorney General Robert Lougy. Sentencing is scheduled for August 25.

Dammer admitted convincing a widow with Superstorm-related roof damage and another home owner that she was authorized to bid jobs for contractors that didn't employ her.

In October 2013, Dammer collected and cashed three checks worth $28,770 from the widow, who believed that she represented Vanguard Construction.

In December 2015, Dammer claimed to solicit a window-replacement job for Majestic Exteriors, cashing three checks totalling $15,000.

In both cases, no work was done, authorities said.
