Police Seek Suspect in Attack of Target Loss Prevention Officer
Police in Monmouth's Ocean Township are seeking the public's help in identifying a strong-arm robbery suspect.
Suspect in strong arm robbery at Target at Seaview Square Shopping Center in Ocean
Police said the male suspect assaulted a Loss Prevention Officer at a Target department store in the Seaview Square Mall Monday afternoon after being confronted with shoplifting. The officer sustained minor injuries after being shoved to the ground.
The suspect then fled the scene and entered a red Dodge four-door vehicle that was being operated by an unknown accomplice.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6'2, 230 lbs, with thin chin strap style beard. Police don't have a description of the driver. Anyone with information is asked to contatct Detective Bryan Morgan at 732-531-1428.
