Power outages reported across Ocean & Monmouth

As Winter Storm Jonas continues to bear down on us, thousands of residents are being left without power.

According to Atlantic City Electric's outage map, over 7,500 households have been affected from Tuckerton to Stafford with various locations across Long Beach Island also being left in the dark.

In addition, Jersey Central Power & Light is now reporting thousands of outages throughout Ocean and Monmouth counties from Forked River to Red Bank.

Utility companies are working diligently to restore power to those affected, but with near whiteout conditions expected all day, it will likely be some time before full power is restored.

This is a developing story as outages continue to occur throughout the morning.
