Powerball Climbs To $317 Million

As the Powerball annuity jackpot climbs to $317 million for Saturday's drawing many are wondering if Lady Luck will smile on New Jersey yet again.

Saturday's Powerball numbers are: 01-17-25-37-44, Powerball: 20.

Two of this year's highest Powerball jackpots have had winners from New Jersey. The Ocean's 16 group of county workers from Ocean County and a Monmouth Junction man held two of three winning tickets in the multi-state game's August 7 drawing for the jackpot with an annuity value of $448 million.  In March, Pedro Quezada of Passaic won a jackpot worth $338 million.

Tonight's Powerball jackpot, with a cash value of $176.3 million, will be drawn at 11:00 p.m. on WABC TV and WPVI TV. Text NEWS to 89000 and get the numbers sent to your phone.

Saturday's jackpot was the fastest to reach at least $300 million mark, accomplishing the feat in 10 drawings according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. No one has won the Powerball jackpot since August 7. It's the fourth time this year the jackpot has reached that mark.

Meanwhile, there is a MegaMillions ticket worth $250,000 that will expire if it's not turned in by October 5. The ticket was sold at the Wegman's supermarket on Route 9 in Manalapan.
