LAWRENCE — The Powerball jackpot has climbed back into near-record territory after going without a winner since September.

Wednesday's jackpot has an annuity value of $359 million with a cash value of $219.6 million making it the 11th highest jackpot ever offered by the multi-state game.

Saturday's winning numbers were 16-24-28-43-61 with a Powerball of 21 and Power Play of 2.

After starting off the year with a $1.5 billion jackpot, there have only been 4 Powerball jackpots won this year including a $429 million prize won by the Smith family of Trenton.

There were three Powerball tickets sold in New Jersey for last Saturday's drawing that matched four of the five white balls worth $50,000 each. One of those tickets was purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, doubling the prize to $100,000.
