Third District Congressman Jon Runyan is looking towards his second term with an open mind and is confident things will begin to improve for his constituents and the American public in general.

After successfully defeating Democrat Shelley Adler for the spot, the 38 year old is looking towards January one with some concerns due to the uncertainty of the tax rates.  Runyan explains "it's vital for that to be worked out ahead of time.  We need to know what direction we are going.  It is a key issue that will ultimately affect job creation and whether businesses will even be able to hire."

Runyan is hopeful the tenor will change in D.C. now that the political campaigning is over.  He says "we need bi-partisanship to happen before anything gets done.  Simple as that.  At the end of the day, it's a matter of doing the best job possible and accomplishing the goals you set to do."

Issues important to Runyan range from healthcare, veterans and senior affairs and the overall economic picture.  Job creation is also very important to Runyan as is restoring the Jersey Shore after Sandy.
