FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — A bus driver for the Colts Neck school district was ticketed after he missed a red light while making a turn — with 12 students on board — and got hit.

Freehold Township Police told the Asbury Park Press that the bus, driven Claude Spencer, 67, of Marlboro, was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado as he made a right turn from Kozloski Road onto Route 537 in Freehold Township.

A dozen Colts Neck High School students were on board returning from a bowling center in Howell, according to the report. No one was injured in the incident according to the report.

Spencer was ticketed for failing to observe a red light.
