“There’s a lot of pressure to get this done right away,” Seaside Heights Borough Administrator's John Camera told WCAU TV  “Nobody likes the way it looks.”

Contractors are touring the areas before bidding on the job according to the station and have until Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. to submit their bid and a contract issued by Friday.  The plan is to start tearing down buildings next week and have it all done within 60 days.

About a dozen companies are considering the job. “We want to get in on helping to restore the shore and maybe give a good bid for the job so we can help out,” Bryan Wallace of Anchor Contracting Group told WCAU TV.

The state is picking up the cost of the demolition.
