Sex Assault Defendants from Manchester, Lakewood Sentenced

The Manchester 45-year-old who admitted molesting a 10-year-old victim in Toms River in 2011 is sentenced to 10 years in state prison.

Donald Campo pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated sexual assault a year ago, on August 9, 2013.

Campo was also ordered to serve lifetime parole supervision, register as a sex offender under Megan's Law,
avoid all contact with the victim under provisions of Nicole's Law, and pay fines and penalties.

A bias-intimidation and sex assault incident that occurred last November in Lakewood results in a five-year state prison term for Israel Hernandez, 32, of Lakewood. He was also given 18 concurrent months for a criminal sexual contact charge and is under detainer by the federal Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Hernandez pleaded guilty in June. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim, who was 29 at the time of the incident.

Prosecutors seek 10 years for co-defendant Angel Rodriguez, 27, of Lakewood, for his guilty plea to a first-degree charge of aggravated sexual assault. He is currently under observation in the state facility in Avenel.
