Spodofora Is Back In Stafford’s Mayoral Race

Stafford Mayor John Spodofora will be running for the Mayor’s post after all.

Spodofora accepted the endorsement of local Republican leaders after the screening committee’s approval in a 5 – 2 decision Monday night. According to the Asbury Park Press, Spodofora says he changed his mind following overwhelming public support.

His earlier decision to drop out of contention centered around controversy that led to his confession that he embellished his military record on his web site.
