Think about this for one minute: the alarm rings, it's time to get up and go to work.  We wash, brush our teeth, get dressed, maybe have a bite to eat, say 'see ya later' to our loved ones, grab our stuff and out the door we go.

Now picture this: the alarm rings, it's time to get up and go to work.  We wash, brush our teeth, get dressed, maybe have a bite to eat, say 'see you later' to our loved ones and out the door we go - EXCEPT in this scenario as you're leaving the house, your loved ones are wondering 'will this be the day' because YOU are going to work with a badge and a gun.

These men and women are part of law enforcement.  They go to work everyday not knowing what to expect.  They deal with the bad guys.  They risk their lives everyday not knowing what call is coming next.  They are out there to keep us safe.

The Vest-A-Cop program raises money to make sure our Toms River police officers are protected with bullet-proof vests.  It takes place on Monday, September 28th from 4PM-9PM at the Pizza Hut in the K-Mart Shopping Center on Route 37 in Toms River.    Please support this fundraiser in any way you can, it's the least we can do.  Click HERE to find out more.

They protect us now let's protect them!

Toms River Police Department Safety Officer Steve Schwartz and Chief of Police Mitch Little joined us on the program to discuss the Vest-A-Cop program, traffic safety and much more.  Watch below for our full discussion:
