Suspect Arrested In Manchester Shoprite Cash Register Robbery

A robber wanted for allegedly stealing money from a cash register at the Shoprite on Route 70 in Manchester Saturday night has been arrested at a Barnegat convenience store.

Manchester authorities say 28-year-old Thomas Tomlinson of Barnegat was arrested this morning after an off-duty cop spotted his vehicle in a Wawa parking lot and confirmed the description through police dispatch. Tomlinson is charged with robbery, simple assault and theft. He was being held on 150 thousand dollars bail.

Authorities say a female cashier who Tomlinson pushed out of the way was uninjured.
