Shock and mystery continues to surround the suspension of Central Regional High School Athletic Director Vincent Casale. Various media outlets report that Casale was suspended with pay on Friday, January 30th, for a matter unrelated to students and a matter that did not involve criminal activity.

Patch.com reports that Central Regional Schools Superintendent Triantafillos Parlapanides cited an "internal" problem that did not involve students or the district's coaching staff when asked. He also said rumors that Casale had been escorted out of the building by police are completely unfounded.

The Board of Education is expected to discuss the matter on February 19th.

According to the Asbury Park Press, Casale has been Central Regional's athletic director since the mid 1990's. He was also the school's head football coach from 2008 to 2012. According to the Patch.com article, Casale makes $134,843 according to a school board official.
