SWAT Team members descended upon the King James Court Condominiums and Apartments on Route 36 in Atlantic Highlands Tuesday, following a report to police about a person possibly being barricaded inside a unit with a weapon, according to officials with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

AHHerald.com reported residents of the complex were evacuated.

Officers from Atlantic Highlands and other area police departments cleared the scene without incident with help from the Monmouth County Emergency Response Team, according to NJ Advance Media.

Charles Webster, a spokesman with the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, said the person was found safe in a different location sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., about five hours after the initial report. 

The incident remains under investigation by Atlantic Highlands police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
