The New York Yankees recently honored retired Marine Cpl. Megan Leavey and her adopted combat dog Sgt. Rex.  The two served in the Iraq war in 2006 and were both injured by an IED blast.  Leavey adopted Rex once they retired and have been inseparable ever since.  Check out the footage of their amazing story below.
