Thanking 19 Years of Listener Friends

It's going into the 19th year… of what you may ask?  A morning show.  What morning show?  Bob and Marianne in the Morning on WOBM AM 1160 &1310 and even though we have gone through a number of format changes one thing that hasn't changed are our Listener Friends.  I came up with that name right after the first week when they started calling and said how much they enjoyed our company in the morning and I said to Bob, "you know ANY and ALL radio stations have listeners, but ours are different, they truly care" and I felt that just calling them listeners was just ordinary and ours are as far from that as you can get.

There have been a number of things we have done with our listener friends in the past 19 years and this is one of them: BINGO.  We go to all different kinds of establishments.  I've called bingo In furniture stores, car dealerships, restaurants, malls, rehabilitation centers, firehouses and hotels just to name a few and this group of ladies in this picture?  They have been Listener Friends since day ONE and see that kid in the picture?  That's Joey, he's Bunny's grandson and I remember the day he was born because she called up on the air to tell us, and every year after that to wish him a Happy Birthday at Good Wishes time (that's another story for another time).

So I just want to make this blog a huge "Thank You" to all our Listener Friends that have stuck by us through the years and a "Welcome" to a new generation that are following in their footsteps.  Here's to many more happy, healthy years together!  And stay tuned for a BINGO near you !!!!!
