No matter what happens on Saturday, New Jersey teen Shakur Stevenson will return from Rio with an Olympic medal. The 19-year-old boxer from Newark has a couple more days to prep before his gold-medal fight.

Stevenson also has scored the high profile attention of Floyd Mayweather. The retired world champion boxer says he flew to Rio mainly to sign the Jersey fighter to his promotional company.

Another Jersey Guy Olympian going for gold is wrestler Jordan Burroughs. The Camden County native clinched gold at the London games, four years ago. He's also launched a new documentary ahead of his match on Friday.

Fellow Team USA wrestler and Ocean County native Frank Molinaro won't take the mat until the final day of the Olympics. His wife just gave birth to their second son this month, so his immediate family is cheering him from home.

NBA star Kyrie Irving, a West Orange native, is cruising along with Team USA. They face Spain in the Semifinals on Friday. The gold medal game is on Sunday afternoon.

Of course, the Jersey Girls of Team USA have been on an impressive Olympic run in Rio. We've been cheering on Old Bridge gymnast Laurie Hernandez and more recently were stunned by the historic medal sweep including Atlantic County's own Nia Ali. The Pleasantville High School alum even got a congratulatory tweet from the First Lady:

The Olympics wrap up with closing ceremonies on Sunday.
